Last updated: March 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the KodeDoc AI platform at Kodedocai.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including individual developers and organizations.
2. Description of Service
KodeDoc AI is a SaaS platform that provides AI-powered API documentation generation and hosting. Users can upload OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, generate interactive documentation using artificial intelligence, publish documentation with custom domains, and manage API projects through a web dashboard.
3. Accounts and Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- One person or organization may not maintain more than one free trial account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Plans
KodeDoc AI offers the following subscription tiers: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with Pro-level features. Feature availability and API limits vary by plan.
4.2 Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
4.3 Plan Changes
You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. If you exceed the limits of your new plan, some features may become unavailable until you reduce usage or upgrade.
4.4 Trial
Each user is entitled to one free trial per email address. Attempting to create multiple trial accounts constitutes a violation of these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activities
- Upload malicious content, malware, or harmful code in API specifications
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, subscription restrictions, or security measures
- Access other users' data or accounts without authorization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service to generate documentation for APIs that facilitate illegal activities
- Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
- Overload our infrastructure with excessive automated requests beyond your plan limits
6. Your Content
6.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all API specifications, documentation content, and other materials you upload to KodeDoc AI ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
6.2 License
By uploading content, you grant KodeDoc AI a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., generating documentation, hosting published docs, syncing with GitHub).
6.3 AI-Generated Content
Documentation generated by our AI tools is derived from Your Content. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated documentation for accuracy before publishing. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.
7. Custom Domains
If your plan supports custom domains, you are responsible for configuring DNS records correctly and ensuring you have the right to use the domain. KodeDoc AI reserves the right to remove custom domain configurations that infringe on trademarks or violate these Terms.
8. Rate Limits
API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan. Rate limits are enforced per tenant and apply to all API endpoints. Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary request throttling (HTTP 429). Persistent abuse may result in account suspension.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control, including third-party service outages, natural disasters, or network disruptions.
10. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or abuse. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow recovery, then permanently deleted.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KodeDoc AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated documentation will be error-free or meet your specific requirements.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KodeDoc AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
